WAVA at a GLANCE

WAVA (World Association of Visual Arts)

This Association is formed for the purposes of getting together the potential of the visual arts in order to have competitive setting, networking and join action on the global art scene.
 
A new independent subject has emerged in 2014 on the global art scene - World Association for Visual Arts (WAVA). The creators of WAVA are proven artists and professionals in the fields of art and culture, that enthusiastically formed this Association, guided by the need for action in the field of promoting, nurturing and preserving the visual arts as an important part of the world’s movable cultural heritage. This is the general goal of WAVA. In this context there are other important tasks by the founders, including- collaboration and connection between all individuals, organizations and institutions around the world who are dealing with visual arts. Also providing support in the presentation of the global art scene and the global art market, providing opportunity for counseling and consulting, especially in the field of copyright protection.

Moreover, WAVA will give significant support to the young talents, summer schools and other forms of non-formal education. As well as organizing international meetings, conferences and awarding. Additionally to all there is a mobility program for artists around the world for regional collaboration which will also benefit the members of the Association.  

Therefore WAVA is voluntary, independent, nonprofit organization whose purpose is to unite individuals and institutions that share visual art as common ground. Through the free association the interests of the membership will be protect and adjust. Furthermore there will be activities for promoting the true values of the Visual Arts.

On 03.04.2014 Pavle Pejovic (Montenegro) was elected the president of The Association WAVA (World Association of Visual Arts), elected for the position of the Executive Director of WAVA was Kornelija Koneska (N. Macedonia) and the elected members of the Executive Board are: Micko Jankulovski (N. Macedonia) and Venceslav Antonov (Bulgaria).

The Association of World Association of Visual Arts operates worldwide in the Region of the Balkans, the Central Europe Region, the Region for Western Europe, the Region for Eastern Europe, the Region for North America, the Central America Region, the Region for South America, the Region for Africa, the Region for Asia and the Region for Australia. The Regions are governed by regional Directors appointed by the WAVA Executive Board and determined by their powers and by their appointment they become members of the WAVA Executive Board based on the WAVA Statute.
 

MAIN GOALS

The main goal is to gather the potential of visual arts in order to accomplish competitive setting through networking and joint action on the global art scene and to promote, nurture and preserve the visual arts as an important part of the world’s movable cultural heritage. The Association the World Association of Visual Arts is establishing cooperation and connection of all individuals, organizations and institutions in the world that are dealing with the visual arts such as painting, graphics, drawing, sculpture, object, conceptual art, installations performances, video art, photography, caricature, comics…
To provide recognitions and awards to artists and art professionals, through giving awards & recognition together with reliable partner institutions and events. Also, to give significant support to the new comers in art - through providing summer schools, workshops and other forms of non-formal education for artists. We organize international meetings and conferences for art professionals and design programs for regional and international cooperation, exchange of ideas and projects & networking.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

  • to provide recognitions and awards to artists and art professionals – through giving awards & recognition together with reliable partner institutions / events
  • to give significant support to the new comers in art – through providing summer schools, workshops and other forms of non-formal education for artists
  • to organize international meetings and conferences for art professionals - to design programs for regional and international cooperation, exchange of ideas and projects & networking.
